RHS Hampton Court Palace Flower Show 2017
Tuesday 4 – Sunday 9 July 2017
Preview Evening Monday 3 July 2017
Dear Community Gardening Groups,
We are writing to invite you to apply to create an exhibit at the RHS Hampton Court Palace Flower Show. For the last two years Flower and Vegetable box planting displays have been created by a variety of community groups and for 2017 we are keen to encourage as many groups as possible to participate.
Flower and Vegetable boxes focus on planting and plantsmanship without the need for heavy construction meaning the exhibits can be delivered with more limited resources. The RHS provides timber framed beds filled with compost allowing exhibitors to focus on creating a story and message to share with visitors through the planting. Flower and Vegetable boxes offer a great way to engage with the many visitors that come to the show, providing a platform to showcase work and promote campaigns and initiatives connected with horticulture.
For 2017 community groups applying to create Flower and Vegetable boxes will also be able to apply for a grant (£250) to help with the costs of exhibiting at the show. We are very keen to include more community groups at the RHS Hampton Court Palace Flower Show and we very much hope that you will be interested in working with us.
