David Hurrion is a journalist & horticultural consultant. He started gardening as a child and has been growing plants for more than 40 years. David is a contributor and expert commentator on TV and radio and makes practical videos for gardenersworld.com. He also writes for popular titles such as BBC Gardeners’ World Magazine.

David has an extensive knowledge and practical experience of plants, crops and growing techniques, complemented by an in-depth understanding of garden design, wildlife, geology and climatology. He has travelled extensively to discover plants and gardens.

He has designed, built and planted show gardens and display stands for the Chelsea Flower Show and is now a Designate Judge for the Royal Horticultural Society. He also designs, consults and advises on real gardens to suit the needs and lifestyles of domestic gardeners.

As well as teaching a diverse range of horticultural subjects, David also presents a range of courses and masterclasses at locations around the UK.
